Here's how to set up Disney Plus Age Rating to make sure your kids only see age-appropriate content..

Disney has added some helpful parental controls to its streaming service so that adults can better regulate the content available to their children based on their age. Because Disney Plus is home to content from Disney, Marvel, Lucasfilm, 20th Century Fox, and more, it's pretty easy to watch a movie or show of any age rating. However, with the age rating of the streaming service, you have the option of setting age restrictions for the profiles of children.

How to set an age rating on Disney Plus

1st step:

Open Disney Plus in a browser and hover over your profile picture in the top right corner. A menu then opens in which you select " Edit profiles ". If you have not yet created the profile to which you would like to add an age limit, simply do this first with " Add Profile ".

2nd step:

Now select the profile that is to receive an age restriction.

3rd step:

Now scroll down to the point " Age rating " and click on it.

4th step:

You will then be taken to a screen that gives you much more precise control over what content your selected profile can see. So choose the most appropriate age rating for your own children here so you can be sure they won't see anything inappropriate. Then click on " Save ".

5th step:

If you now try to watch higher rated content on the profile, you will see that it is not available.

Open the Disney Plus app on your smartphone and tap on your profile picture in the lower right corner.

2nd step:

Then select the menu item " Edit profiles ".

3rd step:

Now tap on the profile for which you want to set an age limit. You can also first create a new profile with " Add Profile " if one does not already exist.

4th step:

Then tap on the " Age rating " menu item .

5th step:

Here you can now select the desired setting for the restriction . After making your selection, tap Save .

6th step:

You will then see that higher rated content is available with more in the profile.

Quick start guide: Desktop

1. In Disney Plus, open the Edit Profiles menu by hovering over your profile picture in the top right corner and then selecting " Edit Profiles ".
2. Then select a profile and then select the entry " Age rating ".
3. You can now select a desired age limit and then save the changes .
4. Content that has a higher age rating should no longer be displayed in the profile.

Quick start guide: smartphone

1. In the Disney Plus app, tap your profile picture in the lower right corner and then select the " Edit Profiles " button .
2. Then select the profile that you want to be rated for.
3. Now scroll down to the entry " Age rating " and tap on it.
4. Then set a desired age limit and then tap on " Save ".
5. Content with a higher age rating is now available with more in the profile.
