A vCard or VCF file (Virtual Contact File) is a standardized file format for electronic business cards. These are often attached to emails or used in other ways to share personal information such as name and address. A vCard can now also be shared using a QR code or instant messaging and added to your own address book. We explain how to create a vCard in these tips + tricks.

1st step:

Open Outlook and click on the contact icon .

2nd step:

Since you probably want to create a vCard for yourself, you can add yourself to your address book via " New Contact " . You can of course also use any other contact.

3rd step:

Then select the contact and click on " File " in the menu .

4th step:

Then go to " Save as ".

5th step:

In the Files of type field, select " vCard files (* .vcf) ". Search for a suitable storage location in which you want to save the vCard file and then click on " Save ". The vCard file automatically takes on the name of the contact . You can now send your name to other people as a vCard including all information about the person or send it as an attachment via e-mail.

There are also options on the Internet to create vCards and then save them locally in order to later add them to your own address book or share them with friends. We have selected a few options for you:

1. Select the contact for whom you want to create a vCard or create a new contact.
2. On the menu, click File > Save As .
