By the way:
Ever since it was launched, Google Translate has not been known for being able to translate complete sentences reliably. In the meantime, however, there is a much more reliable alternative: deepl.com is currently translating from German to English reliably and much closer to the actually spoken and written language. But deepl can also translate into other languages. The offer can be used free of charge in the web browser; there is also an app for Windows, macOS and iOS that can be downloaded from the developer's website. Unfortunately, deepl does not yet offer an offline function..
