How to restore your Firefox profile

To restore your Firefox profile, you need a backup copy of it. When you clean Firefox, it is created automatically: Firefox then saves the "Old Firefox Data" folder on your desktop, which contains a copy of your profile folder. 1st step:

Close Firefox by clicking the menu in the top right corner, then click Exit at the bottom .

2nd step:

Press the key combination [Windows] + [R] . The run dialog opens. Enter here: % appdata% \ Mozilla \ Firefox \ Profiles \ . Then click OK .

3rd step:

How to find a folder that ends in " .default ". In the Firefox backup you also have such a folder, the entire contents of which you can now copy into the new folder . If necessary, you have to allow all files to be overwritten .

4th step:

Starting now you Firefox new. Your profile has been restored - or in other words: your old profile has been transferred to a new profile.
