The Discord communication tool has a large number of emojis. But if the image you are looking for is not there, you can also create your own emojis. However, these are not created via the normal profile settings, but are linked to a Discord server. Our instructions work for the PC version in the same way as in the app on the mobile phone.

Create your own emojis in Discord

Follow our step-by-step instructions or take a look at the brief instructions .

1st step:

Visit your own Discord server. If you don't already have a Discord server, here's how to create one. Then click on the name of your server above and go to " Server Settings ".

Then click on the " Emoji " section and select " Upload Emoji ". A window opens in which you can select a picture from your computer . The file for an emoji can be a maximum of 256 kB.

As soon as the emoji has been successfully uploaded, it will appear at the bottom of the list. Most of the time it already has a name automatically derived from the file name of the image. You can customize this name (also known as " Alias ") by moving the mouse pointer over it. Now just enter a better name. Note: Personalized emojis can only be used on the corresponding server with the free version of Discord. Discord Nitro is required to use these emojis in normal chat or to use animated emojis.   1. Open your own Discord server in the bar on the left. Then click on the name at the top and select " Server Settings ".
  2. Now you have to call up the point " Emoji " on the left . On the right, click Upload Emoji, then select an image from your computer.
  3. You can then give the emoji another " alias ", i.e. a word that can be used to display the emoji in chat. To do this, simply click in the field in the " Alias " column and adapt it to your requirements. All finished emojis are displayed in a list below. You have space for 50 emojis per server. You can now use these emojis in each channel on this particular server.
