Would you like to spice up a boring video conference with your colleagues? In addition to virtual backgrounds, you can also use face filters for this. One of the most common programs for this is Snap Camera. Here you can use all the filters that you already know from Snapchat.

Set up Snap Camera

The software can be downloaded from the Snap Camera website . Install the program and start it with the camera switched on. Now you can choose from one of many face filters.

Are you content? Well, then all you have to do is configure your video conference program. In doing so, you will change the video input from your webcam to the Snap Cam. The image from your webcam is then filtered by Snap Camera before it is transferred to the video call. You can set the camera before the phone call or during an ongoing call..

Use Snap Camera with Skype

Just leave Snap Camera running in the background and launch Skype.

1st step:

Click on the three dots in Skype and then select " Settings ". In the settings you have to click on " Audio and Video ".

2nd step:

At the top right you will find the camera input . Change this from your webcam to " Snap Camera " to apply the filter. If you want to call again without a filter, you only have to set your camera here again.

Use Snap Camera with Teams

Open Microsoft Teams and keep Snap Camera running..

1st step:

In Teams, go to the channel in which you want to hold a video conference. Click the camera icon below .

2nd step:

Then click on " Camera " to set a different camera. If you can see your filtered image in the background, everything is running correctly. Then select " Discuss Now " to start the video call with the filter mask. You can activate the filters in the same way during a phone call.

Use snap camera with zoom

With Snap Camera turned on in the background, open Zoom. Start a meeting. Then select the arrow symbol at the bottom next to the camera symbol . The video input source can now be selected here. Change the setting to " Snap Camera ".
