Enable or disable automatic capitalization in Word
How to turn off automatic capitalization in Word

A very interesting option that Word has is the ability to enable or disable automatic capitalization . This feature helps us save a lot of time when drafting documents..

However, some people see it as something unnecessary and even uncomfortable. That is why we are going to see in this guide, how to activate or deactivate the option. It is very simple and above all, very fast. We will explain it to you step by step!

Enable or disable automatic capitalization in Word

The first thing we will have to do is click on “File” and go to “Options” in the left sidebar.

Next, a Word Options dialog box will open, we will have to click on “Review” in the left panel. We will click on “Autocorrect options” just below the “Autocorrect” section on the right side and a new window will open..

In the “Auto Correct” tab, we will have to check the checkboxes: capitalize the letter of the sentences, capitalize the first letter of the cells of the table, capitalize the names of the days.

To confirm the changes we will have to click on “Accept”. Now we will try to write a text in the document and we will see that the first letter will be capitalized automatically..

How to turn off automatic capitalization in Word

It is not necessary for us to explain in detail the steps to be able to disable capital letters in the Microsoft office automation program. Basically, we will have to do the same thing we did to enable them, as we explained above. Only we are not going to check the three options that we mentioned earlier, we are going to uncheck them.

In this way, we will have deactivated the autocorrection of Word. Therefore, the first letter of a sentence or names will not be capitalized automatically.

As you can see, it is extremely easy to activate or deactivate this interesting and comfortable Word option. Remember that, if you have any questions, you can leave it in the comment box that you will find a little further down and we will be happy to help you in any way we can.
