Link PSN and Discord accounts
Sony allows linking PSN accounts to Discord , after announcing their partnership in 2021; the company began making a minority investment in the messaging app. Nowadays it is very simple to connect the accounts of both services to show all our friends what we are currently playing..
We have already told you about Discord and all the advantages that this application provides us to keep in touch with our friends. A little further down, we will see how to keep both accounts connected so that they can all see what we are playing and, perhaps, share a few games. Playing online with friends is always more fun!
Link PSN and Discord accounts
The first thing we will do is open the desktop application, the web browser or on the mobile device. Next, we're going to click the gear icon next to your profile name in the User Settings sidebar on your desktop or browser.
On mobile, tap the three horizontal lines in the top left corner to open the sidebar, and tap the profile picture in the bottom icon bar for the User Settings menu..
We choose “Connections” and select the PlayStation Network icon from the row of different account icons. On the mobile device, we will have to press "Add" and then choose PlayStation Network from the list.
A browser window opens so you can sign in to your PlayStation Network account. We log in and the window will close..
PSN and Discord accounts are now connected. We will have two options available for the PSN account and connections page: Show on profile and Show PlayStation Network as our status.
Connecting the accounts will allow it to show what games we're playing on the Discord servers, but may require some extra settings on your PlayStation Network account to change, if it doesn't show up on startup. PSN account privacy settings need to be set to Any in the PSN Online Status and Now Playing visibility options.
