Windows 10 operating systems have a privacy flaw which consists of the amount of permissions granted to their own and third-party applications, these permissions involve resources such as contacts, mail, camera, microphone and much more. Although it is a general failure of Windows 10, we have the advantage that from the April update of Windows 10 1803, we have more resources to control access to files on the system..
Thanks to this, it will be possible to restrict or deny access to UWP universal applications (not win32 applications) of files stored in libraries such as documents and images . Part of these improvements include the possibility of blocking applications and denying permissions to the entire file system, which will increase security and privacy internally in Windows 10.
TechnoWikis will explain how to establish this type of permissions to applications..

1. Configure permissions for applications in Windows 10
Step 1
To start this process, we will go to the Start menu and there we will select the “Configuration†utility where we will see the following:
Step 2
There we select the category "Applications" and in the new window we will go to the "Applications and features" section where we will see the following:
Step 3
We select the application to which we want to edit your permissions and a series of alternatives will be displayed where we must click on the “Advanced options†line:
Step 4
Clicking there will display the following window where we will see the permissions of said application in the category "Application permissions":
Step 5
There we can press on each switch to allow or not the respective associated permission, it is important to keep in mind that based on the type of application the permissions will be defined, in this case we only have two permissions, but other applications will have many more. In this way the permissions for each particular application are edited.
2. Restrict general access for applications in Windows 10
Step 1
Now, if we want to restrict access to a particular library globally, the process changes, but it's just as simple. First, we will go back to the Start / Settings menu:
Step 2
We select the category "Privacy" and in the new window we find on the left side a section called "Application Permissions" where we find all the libraries and elements that are used to access the applications, there is enough to select the one that is It has to be edited and now, on the central side we go down to the section "Choose which applications you can access" where you will see the following. There we can see all the applications that have permission and their current status, just press on each switch to activate or not the permission.
In this way we have learned to define permissions for applications in Windows 10 individually or in general.
