Since 2007 we have been seeing the evolution of one of the most used, practical, safe and functional operating systems such as Android ; and is not for less. Being supported and developed by Google should not rule out new features, new integrations and improvements in your system as it is the most used mobile operating system today by more than 60% of mobile users..

When using an Android device many times we worry more about the resolution of the camera , the quality of the audio, the available storage , etc; but very rarely do we want to know the version of Android on the computer and this is essential to receive new features, since new updates are received between each new update. Although we must keep in mind that in the vast majority of times our device or region is not compatible with the new update.

Now maybe you ask yourself, well, where do I see the Android version used by my team? TechnoWikis will explain where to find both cell phones and tablets..

1. How to know the Android version of my mobile

Step 1

The process for our mobile device does not differ much, for this the first step is to access the Android settings by displaying the upper screen or using the search box:

2. How to know the version of Android on a tablet

The tablet is often nothing more than a larger cell phone, since today some tablets have the ability to receive a SIM card to make calls. The process to verify the Android version on a tablet is really simple.
Step 1

First, you must display the top menu of the screen, regardless of the position of the screen (horizontal or vertical), and in the different options displayed click on the gear icon which refers to the configuration:

Step 2

Once we click there, in the expanded window we will place the "System" section:

Step 3

In the next section we will find the line "System Update", there we can see the current version of Android:

Step 4

If we click on this option we will find that the system is updated in version 8.0 (Oreo). If there is a new update and the device is compatible, we can download it and apply it there.

Step 5

Another way to view the Android version on our tablet is from the "System" menu where we will see the following. There we click on the option "Information about the device":

Step 6

This way we will access the current version of Android:

As we have seen, the process to know our version of Android is not strange but it is very practical to be aware of the new features of this operating system.
