Microsoft Outlook, the widely used email client as one of the many productive applications in Microsoft Office, offers users a variety of options to personalize the experience of reading, writing and organizing email messages. One of the easiest ways to personalize email messages in Outlook is to change the font or font size used in email messages. Permanently changing the font size of emails in Microsoft Outlook is not difficult to do, thanks to a simple set of menu options.

Step 1

Click on the "Tools" menu at the top of your screen, then choose "Options".

Step 2

Click on the "Mail Format" tab and then choose the "Stationery and Fonts" tab.

Step 3

Click on "Personal Stationery" (Personal Stationery). See the options for changing the font size and the source of the emails you write, read, reply or forward to another person.

Step 4

Click on the "Font" button for the changes you would like to make. For example, to change the font size of emails you write to others, click on the "Font" button below the New Mail Messages option.

Step 5

Choose the new font you would like from the dialog window that opens. Click on "ok" in this window, in the Stationery and Fonts window and in the Options window.
