Didn't work; I'm starting to hate Bitdefender.
I'm attempting the hell to "re-register all my DLL files" using the Command Prompt in order to get a PC game running.

Bitdefender sees this as a threat and interferes with the process.
I followed your instructions and the Bitdefender icon in my taskbar DOES INDICATE that Bitdefender is disabled.  However when I run the command prompt again, Bitdefender once again interferes with the process proving that it isn't disabled and apparently cannot be disabled.
